IN THE HEIGHTS

The winner of the 2008 Tony Award for Best Musical has all the vitality and energy you would expect from an El Barrio-themed musical. Much credit goes to its creator, song- writer and its opening leading man, Lin-Manuel Miranda. His music and lyrics and Anna Louisa's brilliant set have captured the Latin flavor and essence. The book by Quira Alegria Hudes is predictable but works.  Now starring Corbin Bleu from "High School Musical." Editor's Note: Show closed January 9, 2011.

RICHARD RODGERS THEATRE, 226 West 46th Street. (212-239-6200.)
